During the recent Turning Point USA AmericFest, Fox News’ Jesse Watters made a pitch to the American people regarding Dr. Fauci.
As is usually the case, his speech was cut down to a tasty little soundbite that created outrage on the left as well as with Dr. Fauci himself.
Fauci actually called for Watters to be fired on the spot.
Now, Watters and Fox News have responded to his request.

The comments made by Watters that were published were clearly meant to make this a controversy.
In the video, Watters is heard saying, “The kill shot, with an ambush — deadly, ’cause he doesn’t see it coming.
“This is when you say, ‘Dr. Fauci, you funded risky research at a sloppy Chinese lab, the same lab that sprung this pandemic on the world.
“You know why people don’t trust you, don’t you?’ Boom, he is dead! He is dead! He’s done!”
Now, if you heard the entire speech, you know he was actually talking about ending Fauci’s career, not his life, but the left got what they wanted when they only published the snippet.
Fauci also reacted, calling for Watters’ immediate firing.
Watters responded by calling Dr. Fauci and pretty much everyone in this administration a “clown.”
He continued, “To top it all off, [Vice President] Kamala Harris just admitted to the L.A. Times the administration didn’t see any of this coming.
“Gee, you mean Biden’s scientific brain trust and Fauci and Collins couldn’t foresee any of this? Why am I not surprised?
“After all, these are the same clowns who thought funding dangerous experiments on that coronavirus … at the Wuhan lab was a grand idea.”
Fox News also responded, giving Watters its full support.
The network stated, “Based on watching the full clip and reading the entire transcript, it’s more than clear that Jesse Watters was using a metaphor for asking hard-hitting questions to Dr. Fauci about gain-of-function research and his words have been twisted completely out of context.”
If you think watching “The Five” was fun before, wait until Watters gets armed to the teeth to go after Fauci now.
