Weeks Later, Still No Direct Statement from Biden on Threats Against Kavanaugh

On June 8, a man was arrested near Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s home.

According to reports, Nicholas John Roske, 26, was planning a murder-suicide plot against Kavanaugh.

It is now January 23, and Joe Biden has yet to make a direct statement about the attack to condemn it.

When?

If this were Trump and it was a liberal justice that had been threatened, this would be front-page news and atop every cable news outlet.

Instead, the media has been just as silent as Biden on this issue.

The only statement that has been made on the subject was a lie.

When asked about the thwarted attack, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated that Joe Biden “condemns the actions of this individual in the strongest terms.

“Any threats of violence or attempts to intimidate justices have no place in our society.”

That did not come from the mouth of Joe Biden, nor was it a statement from his desk that Joe Biden signed.

On June 16, Joe Biden signed the legislation to add protection for Supreme Court justices into law.

The bill was signed with little fanfare and no big presser from Biden to decry the thwarted attack and any possible future attacks.

Now, here we are, June 23, and Joe Biden has yet to address the attempted attack against Justice Brett Kavanaugh personally.

Oddly enough, not a single outlet has called him out on it other than Fox News.

Quite the opposite, actually, as most outlets touted the statement by Jean-Pierre as a direct statement from Biden.

While talking to CNN, White House spokesperson Andrew Bates stated, “President Biden condemns the actions of this individual in the strongest terms, and is grateful to law enforcement for quickly taking him into custody.

“As the President has consistently made clear, public officials — including judges — must be able to do their jobs without concern for their personal safety or that of their families.

“And any violence, threats of violence, or attempts to intimidate justices have no place in our society.

“He has said that himself, and his spokespeople have been forceful about this from the podium.”

But Biden has not actually publicly said it… we are still waiting, Joe.
