Several outlets actually covered the Biden White House like they did Trump this week, and it did not go over too well.
Both the Washington Post and the New York Times did stories on how the COVID virus is spreading among Americans.
It was a story that would have been the norm when Trump was in office, but the Biden administration did not take kindly to those numbers being publicized.
Irresponsible Reporting
As I have stated before, Democrats married themselves to positivity rates during the Trump administration, so they are stuck with them now.
Had everyone concentrated on the mortality rate, this latest outbreak would not be such a big deal.
However, with outbreaks now occurring among the vaccinated, even with minimal symptoms and few deaths, it is the positivity rates that everyone is paying attention to.
The Post tweeted, “Vaccinated people made up three-quarters of those infected in a massive Massachusetts covid-19 outbreak, pivotal CDC study finds.”
Ben Wakana, the White House Deputy Director of Strategic Communications & Engagement, responded, “Completely irresponsible.
“3 days ago the CDC made clear that vaccinated individuals represent a VERY SMALL amount of transmission occurring around the country.
“Virtually all hospitalizations and deaths continue to be among the unvaccinated. Unreal to not put that in context.”
The New York Times also tweeted that the Delta variant is as “contagious as chickenpox…”
The White House responded…
VACCINATED PEOPLE DO NOT TRANSMIT THE VIRUS AT THE SAME RATE AS UNVACCINATED PEOPLE AND IF YOU FAIL TO INCLUDE THAT CONTEXT YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG. https://t.co/gBkDbJ21xX

Here is the problem… for almost five years, the media got to cherry-pick facts to suit a narrative rather than allowing ALL the facts to dictate the narrative.
Nobody in the Democrat Party complained when it was happening to Trump, so they do not get to complain now.
