Joe Biden is losing a lot of ground with progressives, especially the younger ones.
The overturning of Roe v. Wade did not help his case, either.
The White House is lashing out, telling them they are all “out of step” with what is happening.
Listen to Me
As we have seen repeatedly with Joe Biden, you either go his way or he does not want to hear about it.
When Biden was elected, repealing the Hyde Amendment and protecting Roe v. Wade were a significant part of his agenda.
He has failed on both fronts, and now the activists are out for blood.
While Biden loves seeing the protests against justices, he is not so happy that the same is now happening to him.
The White House, on those unhappy with Biden, stated, “Joe Biden’s goal in responding to Dobbs is not to satisfy some activists who have been consistently out of step with the mainstream of the Democratic Party.
“It’s to deliver help to women who are in danger and assemble a broad-based coalition to defend a woman’s right to choose now, just as he assembled such a coalition to win during the 2020 campaign.
“The president has been showing his deep outrage as an American and executing his bold plan — which is the product of months of hard work — ever since this decision was handed down.”
This is not just about protesters, either, as there have been numerous Democrat members of Congress hammering Biden on this front.
The two most notable are Senator Warren (D-MA) and Rep. Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.).
AOC recently stated, “This is a crisis of legitimacy and President Biden must address that.”
Warren demanded for Biden “to make abortion as available as possible with the tools he has, including medication abortion, including using federal lands as a place where abortions can occur.”
The only way this happens is if the Democrats can break the filibuster, and I am just not sure how they can go about that without legal challenges that would come to a conclusion before January.
I just do not see this happening, which means Biden is going to get crushed by progressives once the GOP takes back Congress.
