Whoopi Forced to Apologize to Turning Point USA

ABC and “The View” faced a massive lawsuit from Turning Point USA for a smear campaign by talking heads on the show.

Charlie Kirk, the big man on campus for TPUSA, got his lawyers involved and threatened to drop the hammer.

Goldberg gave a less-than-heartfelt apology to try to calm the storm.

Take It Back

Goldberg opened her show on Thursday with an apology, no doubt after network executives told her to do so.

She stated, “In Monday’s conversation about Turning Point USA, I put the young people at the conference in the same category as the protesters outside, and I don’t like it when people make assumptions about me.

“And it’s not any better when I make assumptions about other people, which I did. So, my bad, I’m sorry.”

You can see the apology in the video below and judge how sincere it was…

Now, that was delivered with far less feeling than her slanderous comments.

And Whoopi was not alone, as Behar chimed right in, stating, “Neo-Nazis were out there in the front of the conference with anti-Semitic slurs and, you know, the Nazi swastika and a picture of a so-called Jewish person with exaggerated features, just like (Joseph) Goebbels did during the Third Reich.

“It’s the same thing, right out of that same playbook.”

Goldberg’s was actually the second apology posted, with co-host Sara Haines, on Wednesday, stating, “On Monday we talked about the fact that there were openly neo-Nazi demonstrators outside the Florida Student Action Summit of the Turning Point USA group.

“We want to make clear that these demonstrators were gathered outside the event and that they were not invited or endorsed by Turning Point USA.

“A Turning Point USA spokesman said the group ‘100 percent condemns those ideologies’ and said Turning Point USA security tried to remove the neo-Nazis from the area but could not because they were on public property.

“Also, Turning Point USA wanted us to clarify that this was a Turning Point USA Summit, and not a Republican Party event.

“So, we apologize for anything we said that may have been unclear on these points.”

This led to pushback by TPUSA, stating, “Whoopi Goldberg should have been the one who apologized.

“The bulk of the complaints go toward comments that she made, she oftentimes speaks completely out of turn coming through a lens of misinformation.

“She’s known for that, and she should be the one to step up and say, ‘Look, I apologize, I screwed up on this.'”

TPUSA founder Charlie Kirk, however, does not seem satisfied, stating, “We’re talking to some of the best lawyers out there that are experts in this.

“And as you know, these things can be very complicated.”

It is great to see someone finally come back at these talking heads, as their poisonous rhetoric has gone unchecked for far too long.
