Failed presidential candidate Andrew Yang just dropped a bombshell on the Democrat Party.
According to reports, he has decided to leave the party.
Yang is also reportedly going to announce that he will launch a new party under which he will run in the next election cycle.
I’m Done
Yang got in the national spotlight when he ran for president pushing $1,000 monthly income provided by the government.
While it got him headlines, it was not enough to get him the nomination.
Yang tried to parlay his celebrity to the New York Mayor’s office, but that effort also failed.
So, since he can’t make it to a general election as a Democrat, Yang is now going to launch his own party.
Yang will reportedly announce the new party when his book comes out on October 5.
The book, “Forward: Notes on the Future of Our Democracy,” is already getting rave reviews among liberals and some high-profile names, such as Mark Cuban.
Cuban called it a “vitally important book,” and The New York Times’ Kara Swisher gushed over it.
