House Speaker had to brag on herself for a second.
She had one shot to tell Zelensky what America wanted him to know, and this is what she said:
“Billie Jean King sends you her regards.”
In case you can’t quite remember, Billie Jean King is a tennis player.
Who rose to mainstream popularity in the 1970s.
For beating an opponent who was 55-years-old while she was 29.
I’m not saying that Billie Jean King isn’t a tremendously important figure in American history, but are her regards the only thing that Zelensky needs right now?
Does he tell his soldiers that Putin is tough, but the words of Billie Jean King are tougher?
“Don’t worry lads, the Russian missiles are coming but there’s an old tennis player 5,700 miles away that’s rooting for us!”
This is taking NOTHING away from Billie Jean King.
